Raisinée -

A French jam of thin, almost syrupy, consistence, made by simmering fruit in sweet wine or cider and condensed by boiling for eight to ten hours. The original and best product is prepared from pears, together with a small proportion of quinces. Apples, squashes, beet-roots, etc., are substituted for inferior grades.
