Oleo Oil


Oleo Oil -

Is the oil obtained from animal fat, especially beef fat, by the removal of the tissues and solid fatty acids (see STEARIN). It is largely used in the manufacture of Oleomargarine.

The word Oleo is also employed as an abbreviated form of Oleomargarine and as an adjective signifying "oily."
