Oil-cake


Oil-cake -

Is made from the pulp remaining after the extraction of oil from cotton-seed, linseed, etc. When the extraction is confined to the use of presses, the cakes make excellent cattle food, as the residue contains some oil. If all the oil has been removed by a supplementary chemical process, they are suitable only for use as fertilizing material.
