The name generally given to cornmeal porridge, either eaten hot or left to cool and afterwards fried in slices. It is now prepared and supplied to the trade in tin pans holding about five pounds each. As the store article insures against lumpiness, burning, etc., the product enjoys a good sale in some sections.
