Lampblack -

Soot that is produced by burning rosin, turpentine, pitch, oil or other substances in ways that produce the maximum volume of smoke. It is used principally in the manufacture of paints, blacking and marking inks. Its quality depends upon its lightness of weight and intensity of color.
