Aphis

Aphis -

A plant louse or insect which feeds on vegetables, fruits, etc., and is a source of much loss to farmers and gardeners. It is also of scientific interest because of its faculty of emitting a sweet fluid known as "honey dew" or "aphis sugar," which is eagerly sought by ants.
